SciTech and Trolltech provide 2D graphics hardware acceleration support for embedded Linux.

Chico, California and Oslo, Norway -- (September 8, 2003) -- SciTech Software, Inc. today announced a collaboration with Trolltech AS to provide desktop quality 2D graphics acceleration and incredible chip level compatibility for embedded Linux developers. As part of the announcement, SciTech has released SNAP Graphics IES for Qt/Embedded, Trolltech's embedded Linux GUI toolkit. Additionally, Trolltech now provides built-in support for SciTech SNAP. From this release, Qt/Embedded developers can add native 2D acceleration to their products by using SNAP's accelerated graphics drivers.

The SciTech SNAP SDK is also available form the SciTech website under a dual-license structure (Commercial and LGPL).
